December Mix is in the works

I'm in the tweaking stage of the December mix at the moment. It's shaping up to be a look back at some of my favorite tunes of the past year. Should be pretty good stuff. Mixes are nearing completion

Hey all, Just want to let you know that the mixes are nearly finished and I'm still on track to mail them out next week. I think they sound pretty solid. I'm mostly just tweaking here and there at this point. The French mix is very much a syrupy smooth Port, whereas the British mix has more of a shot and a pint kind of feel. Take from that what you will. Anywhoo, email me at theMixaur(at)gmail.com if you would like copies of either or both and I'll pass them out till they're all gone.

November Mix in progress

The November mix is in production! I'm heading to London for Thanksgiving and I'm very excited, so I've decided to make a British mix before I go. Since I'm also spending a day in Paris I've also decided to take a stab at a French mix as well. My collection of French music is quite small but so far I'm pleased with the results. I'm planning on getting this double disc mix out to any interested takers by Thanksgiving so if you're interested in copies feel free to email me and request a copy. Keep checking the blog for updates and feel free to spread the word to your music loving friends!

an Update

Thanks to all of you who have grabbed a copy of the Halloween mix. I hope it's helping to put you all in the spirit of the season. At this point I'm gearing up for the next mix but I could probably scare up one or two copies of the Halloween mix before moving on to the next one. The next mix by the way is definitely gonna be out before Thanksgiving (and no, it's not a Thanksgiving mix). It might be a double disc though, so keep checking back so you don't miss out on a copy!

New mix is available!

In keeping with the autumn spirit I have kicked off the mix making with a Halloween mix. It's probably not the most accessable mix I'll post on here but if you'd like a fun, spooky mix to get you in the spirit for the upcoming holiday, then by all means request a copy via email. If it's not your bag, fear not, I plan on releasing several more mixes before the year is up. Just keep checking back. Hope you all enjoy, and Happy Halloween!

PS. In keeping with the mood of Halloween let me just strongly recommend the movie Zombieland to anyone who likes their comedy mixed with gore. It was a hilarious film in my opinion and perfect for this time of year.

Let's get this ball rolling

I enjoy making mixes. But more than that I enjoy sharing the mixes I make with others. I used to make tapes, but that technology fizzled out so I grudgingly switched to CDs. Now that Ipods and such rule the music listening world, the mix CD that I so love to craft is rapidly disappearing as well. But I won't be going gently into that good night. My plan is to make and share my mixes with those who want them for as long as is possible. It's quite simple, I'll post when a new mix is ready and if the description sounds appealing you can request a copy by emailing me at theMixaur(at)gmail.com. The only thing I'll need from you is a mailing address. I'm only going to make a limited run of each, so get em while the gettin's good.
